## About Me I’m currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in wind conducting at the University of Houston (UH) with a minor in [[Music Theory]]. I also work as a graduate assistant for the band department and teaching fellow for the music theory department. Prior to starting my doctorate, I worked for three and a half years as an assistant band director at Berry Miller Junior High in Pearland, TX. While I was at Miller, our varsity band earned 5th place in the 2024 TMEA Honor Band Competition. During my time at Miller, my bands earned unanimous superior ratings at UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Evaluation and were twice awarded Best-In-Class at the Shadow Creek Showcase of Sound. Before my appointment at Berry Miller, I worked at UH in the same capacity as now while I completed a Master of Music (MM) in wind conducting. Prior to starting my masters, I worked for 2 years in Alvin ISD at Manvel JH and 1 year at Austin Middle School in Galveston ISD. At Manvel, my bands earned UIL Sweepstakes both years and in Galveston my band earned superior ratings in sight-reading.
