Todoist is a task manager: one place to put everything you need to do, so that none of it has to live in your head. It is quick to add to and quick to search, which is what makes it trustworthy.
## What it does
- **Fast capture.** Type a task in plain language, “Submit analysis every Sunday at 11pm,” and Todoist sets the date and the repeat.
- **Organizes several ways at once.** Projects and sections group tasks; labels mark the kind of action or the place; four priority levels mark what matters most.
- **Filters** show any slice you need, such as everything due today, or every task tagged for email.
- **Everywhere you are.** It syncs across phone, computer, browser and watch, and connects to calendars and email.
It suits [[Getting Things Done|Getting Things Done]] well: an inbox for capture, projects, next-action lists by label, and a weekly review.
## Cost
A free plan covers a handful of projects, which is enough to start. A paid Pro plan removes the limits and adds reminders and longer history.
